Surviving the Break Up - Group Sessions

Our 6 session course has been arranged for the following dates.

Tuesday 21st October 2008 - Information session 7-8pm

followed by 5 sessions on

Tuesdays 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th Nov & 2nd Dec 7-8.30pm

This course is free and open to anyone who has split from their partner, no matter how long ago.

Helping Children and Young People Survive the Break-Up

  • 12 Professionals attended this course in June 08.
  • Delegates stated they had increased their knowledge by up to 60%.

Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus

There will be a Saturday training session for volunteers on Saturday 12th July. The topic is ‘Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus’. Martin Barnsley will be facilitating the session. New member of the Dawn team

Amanda Morris has joined the Dawn team as our Eductaion and Training Worker. She will be coordinating with schools,organisations and groups to promote Dawn’s School Pack and our other training courses for proffessionals. For any questions about the pack or training contact amanda.morris@sheffield.anglican.org

Sunday Walk to Clumber Park

The monthly Dawn walk will be around Clumber Park on Sunday 4th May.  The meeting place is Clumber Park Hotel at 11am.

Volunteer Training in Barnsley

The next volunteer training course will begin 18th September and will run for 12 consecutive weeks. As many applicants were from the Barnsley area, the venue will be within Barnsley Town centre.

Flooding

Both of our offices were closed on Monday and Tuesday due to the flooding around the Rotherham area. Surviving the break up was cancelled on Wednesday, as transport was an issue for many of the attendees.

New Surviving the Break-up Format

A new format of Surviving the break up is ready to launch. Instead of the old six week format, there were be stand alone sessions on a monthly basis.
